This job aid instructs users to successfully start an action plan. An action plan is launched by a manager for employees that need to improve within a certain area of their performance. The purpose of an action plan is to clarify what resources (training, coaching, change in process, etc.) are required to reach the goal, formulate a timeline for when specific tasks need to be completed and determine the timeframe for completing the action.

This job aid also reviews how to acknowledge the action plan after the manager has met with the employee to discuss the contents of the action plan.
