Faculty assigned to teach in these General Purpose Classrooms will now be able to pre-schedule classroom Panopto recordings in Canvas. The Recording Scheduler tool provides a seamless classroom recording experience by automatically starting to record at the scheduled class time.
This article will cover setup, features to consider during class, and options for sharing the recorded content.

- This class recording will now be scheduled if it wasn’t before.
- Sessions with scheduled live streams are marked with a live stream icon:

Schedule all recordings
You can schedule recordings for all listed classes at once by clicking the SCHEDULE ALL button from the Recording Scheduler home page. You must click the Scheduled button for each class if you need to unschedule any of them.
Confirm scheduled recordings and share livestream links
Faculty and students can access the scheduled videos and live stream (webcast) links before the class. For professors, this is a way to confirm recordings and to share live stream links with students through syllabi, email, or other preferred communication platforms.
- From Canvas, click Panopto Recordings.

- Click the clock icon
near the top of the screen.
- Hover over a scheduled recording and click the settings gear icon.

- Copy the Viewer Link field and share it with students through syllabi, email, or other preferred communication platforms.
Note: An actively live-streaming class is marked as Recording right now, and students can click the recording to join the live audience. Recordings that are not webcasts also have viewer links and will display a processing status until the recording is complete.

- Note: You have the option to start the recording early by tapping the Start Recording Now button.

- At the start of a recording, another chime and a verbal notification will sound to notify faculty that the recording has begun.
- Tap the Rec button to access option buttons such as Extend +5m, Extend +15m, Pause, or Stop Recording.

Note: The extend buttons are grayed out in this example because there is another recording scheduled at 4:30 PM and the current recording can't overlap with that one.
- After tapping the Stop Recording button, tap Yes, Stop Recording from the pop-up.
