Media Studio Services Production Process

While all projects are different, we follow an efficient and effective process.

Video creation process

  1. Concept. The client comes to the Media Studio team with a clear idea for a video and discusses the project and timeline expectations.
  2. Proposal. The Media Studio team creates a proposal with estimated costs and sends the proposal to the client for approval.
  3. Scheduling. A production schedule is planned.
  4. Script. The client works with the Media Studio team to draft a script or comes to the Media Studio team with a prepared script.
    • A discussion about the accompanying visuals and the overall design will be had.
    • Clients are expected to have all stakeholder approvals before production or editing begins.
  5. Script finalization. The Media Studio team suggests edits for the script and revises it with the client until the script is finalized (the process can take up to a week, depending on the client’s response time).
  6. Storyboard. The Media Studio team places the finalized script into storyboard format to align text with visuals for the client to approve (2 days).
  7. Production. The Media Studio team films in the studio or on location according to the script. The Media Studio team creates or locates a B-roll, stock video, or imagery that aligns with the storyboard. (1 day to 1 month, depending)
  8. Editing. The Media Studio team edits the video into a polished draft and shows it to the client for review. (1 week to 1 month, depending)
    • If the client has assets they’d like in the video, they must be provided before editing begins.
  9. First round of notes. The client gives Media Studio team notes and revisions.
  10. Notes are applied. The Media Studio team applies notes (1 week) and shows the client an updated draft.
  11. The second and final round of notes. The client may give another round of notes.
  12. Final video. The Media Studio team applies notes (2-3 days) and presents the final video file to the Client.
  13. The client is billed via One Bill.
    • DIT clients may qualify for complimentary service.

Rush video requests

Access to raw files

The Media Studio has a precedent against providing the raw data files associated with our projects. This standard business practice of the multimedia industry protects the integrity of production teams by ensuring control over the quality of projects associated with our work.
