Login Information

If you already have a Top Hat account:

1. Access your ELMS-Canvas course on a laptop or desktop in your internet browser.
2. Select the Top Hat option on the course navigation bar.
3. Follow the system prompts to log in with your UMD email address.
4. When you see the Top Hat course page, you have joined your Top Hat course.

If you are new to Top Hat, you will be prompted to create an account when you select on the Top Hat link.

NOTE:

• You must create your Top Hat account using a web browser. You cannot create an account using the mobile app.
• Please ensure you select the launch link to Top Hat in your ELMS-Canvas course and follow the steps above to connect to your Top Hat account.
