Already on campus?
If you are already on campus, you will need access to the internet to connect to eduroam. You can run SecureW2 by connecting to the umd-guest wireless network from the list of detected wireless networks. You may also consider using your phone's cellular data to connect that device or set up a personal hotspot to connect on computers and tablets.

If you were directed here during the connection process, continue with the instructions below.
- Open the downloaded SecureW2.mobileconfig file from your selected location or the default browser location.
- A system notification confirming the profile installation will pop up. Clicking it has no affect.
- Click the Apple icon on the top left of your screen and select System Settings.
- Click Privacy & Security from the list of settings on the left.
- Click Profiles, often at the bottom of the list.
- Under Profiles, click University of Maryland eduroam-byod-tls MobileConfig.
- A notification window titled Are you sure you want to install this profile? will appear, click the Install… button.
- Another notification will appear titled Are you sure you want to install profile "University of Maryland eduroam-byod-tls MobileConfig"?, click the Install button.
- Enter your computer login password, not your UMD credentials.
- When on campus, connect to the eduroam Wi-Fi network or use your device’s ethernet port to connect.
Connect to the eduroam Wi-Fi network when on campus
- Click the control icon next to the time and date.
- Click Wi-Fi.
- Click the eduroam network.
