What is my Directory ID/UID Number?

Directory ID: Faculty, staff, students, sponsored affiliates and associates have a user ID known as Directory ID. This is the alphanumeric ID of up to eight characters obtained/created at account activation. The Directory ID and passphrase grant access to most online services and systems at UMD such as email, ELMS, Testudo, and timesheets.

• UID: The University Identification (UID) is the nine digit number which is used for most forms and is printed on your University ID card.
• Visit Account management system, to Activate UMD Directory Account or Change/Set Directory Passphrase.
• If you have forgotten your Directory ID or UID Number, See the Identity Claiming Portal.
• Contact the Service Desk if there are any issues.
