UMD Email Is Forwarding to Your Personal Email and You Have an Affiliate Account


Issue

You have an Affiliate Account and emails sent to your @UMD.edu address are going to your personal email address. You are informed that your appointment doesn't exist when you attempt to sign-in to ARES/PHR to update your email forwarding.

Resolution

Individuals with Affiliate appointments are unable to update their email forwarding in ARES/PHR. Please ask your department's designated sponsor to update your Affiliate record with the appropriate email address. Please see the Using the Affiliate information screen section of KB0012328: Payroll and Human Resources (PHR) Affiliates Module for more information about using the PHR Affiliates Module.

The IT Service Desk can also update your email forward.

Cause

Your email forward is populated with the email address entered in your Affiliate record by your department's designated sponsor.
