We discovered the existence of an email address. It appears that our entire department is notified if someone writes this email address. This is counterproductive for us since we already have a system through which we answer customer inquiries. No one in our department knows where this email address came from. Do you have any insight into this, and is it possible for this email address to be closed?
There are HR distribution lists that are autogenerated and are not owned by any particular user. Please have your HR representative for your department reach out to DIT via ticket to have that group and/or any other HR Group email allowed access list limited/closed.
Auto Generated HR Groups exist for each unit on campus. These do not appear in SIMS, but do in Google. When someone sent to the email, it went to all users of that unit.
