Find MAC Address on Windows and Apple Computers

The MAC address is a set 6 pair of numbers and characters separated by a colons or dashes. An example MAC Address is 38:f9:d3:53:46:d8

Apple

  1. Open Finder.
  2. Search for "Network Utility" and open the Application.

  3. Select the connection from the drop down menu. If using a network adapter, the MAC address will show up under a Thunderbolt or USB connection.

  4. The MAC address is listed next to Hardware Address.

  2. Click Network & Internet and then Ethernet
  3. In the list of properties, look for Physical address (MAC)
