Overview
Several desktops and applications are part of the UMD Virtual Workspace. An example of each is shown in the image below.
Each desktop includes a set of software specific to the department or college requesting it. A desktop experience in AVD is similar to using remote desktop. A remote application (RemoteApp) will open a window that displays only the selected application. Some of these applications require an additional authentication step for elevation of privileges.
Access for each of these resources is explained below. Most resources in AVD require

Access for Lenel is handled by UMPD. Reach out to bss@umpd.umd.edu for assistance getting access to and using these applications.
AD Tools (RSAT)
Access for the RSAT tools is handled by the WIS team. These tools are published in the UMD Virtual Workspace for OU administrators. Specific instructions for connecting to these tools can be found here.
