Request for Administrator Access to Enterprise Instructional Technology Systems


UMD faculty and staff can request administrator access to ELMS-Canvas, EMT, and Open Learning. The request uses the Request for Administrator Access to Enterprise Instructional Technology Systems form that includes the following workflow:

  1. Requestor identifies a system, role and appropriate approver from a pre-populated list based on their assignment and Submits the request.
  2. The approver gets an email notification in which the request can be approved or rejected.
    • If rejected, the requestor gets an email notification and the process halts.
    • If approved, the request moves to the Director of Learning Technology Strategy and the Director of Learning Technology Experience for review. 
      • If approved the request goes to dit-ELMS-support-3 for fulfillment by adding the requestor as the identified admin in ELMS.   
      • If rejected an email goes to the approver with a rationale and the process halts.
  3. Once fulfilled, dit-ELMS-support-3 completes the request and the requester is notified.
