Log in to Microsoft Office 365


Office 365 requires you to log in using pass-through authentication. This allows you to sign in to both local and cloud-based Office applications using the same passphrase. Instead of being redirected to use the University of Maryland Central Authentication Service (CAS) page, you must log in to the Office 365.
NOTE: Students are only offered Office 365.

  1. Click Sign in at the top right.
  2. Enter your DirectoryID@umd.edu. Click Next.

  3. Enter your Directory passphrase and click Sign in.

  4. Verify your identity with multi-factor authentication.

  5. You are now logged into Office 365. On the next screen, select Yes or No in response to the Stay signed in? question.

  6. You are now in Office 365, where you can manage your files in OneDrive.
