Department of Business Services (DBS) can print from PDF files in sizes up to 42 inches. They also offer to laminate and mount on foam core posters. Terrapin Learning Commons (TLC) Tech Desk is located on the second floor of McKeldin Library. They have two large format plotters capable of printing and scanning prints up to 42 inches in size. However, they currently only have 24 inch and 36 inch rolls of paper, but they can accommodate custom paper. Pricing for posters goes for $5.00 per square foot, see TLC pricing details before you visit. TLC prefers that you use your UMD ID or Visitor card to pay.
The Engineering Copy Center offers discounts for Student Organizations for their variety of services including poster printing and mounting. They are located at 1123 Glenn L. Martin Hall (Building #088). You can submit your order with an online Service Request Form, email, or visiting in person with your digital data on hand. Note that PowerPoint files from Macintosh systems are not allowed and PDF files are preferred.
Facilities Management (FM) Signs and Graphics provides printing for the the faculty, staff, and students of UMD as well as the University System of Maryland and any State of Maryland organization. See FM contact information as well as examples of their work doing prints onto walls and glass.
