What is eduroam?
Eduroam (education roaming) is the University of Maryland's (UMD) main wireless network on campus. It is a secure, world-wide roaming internet access service that provides wireless connectivity when visiting participating institutions. For more information, visit www.eduroam.org.

Connect to eduroam
- Connect to the eduroam wireless network by running the SecureW2 app. NOTE: If you have already connected to eduroam network, go to the Wi-Fi settings on your device and click Forget this network before installing the secureW2 wireless setup tool.

Or
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Wi-Fi.
- Tap or click eduroam from the list of detected wireless networks.
- Log in using your university credentials.
- Click Join, Connect, or OK depending on your device.
- A Verify Certificate window may open depending on your device.
- Click Continue to authenticate the server certificate.

eduroam tips
- If you have trouble connecting run the SecureW2 app.
- It is a wireless network access tool that verifies your identity and grants access to eduroam.
- New students, faculty, and staff can run SecureW2 prior to their first day on campus as it can be done away from UMD.
- Review and apply the eduroam Settings and Certificate.
- This is done automatically by the SecureW2 app.
- On iPhones, enable Auto-Join.
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Wi-Fi.
- Tap eduroam.
- Tap the Auto-Join switch if necessary.
- On Android, enable Auto reconnect.
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Wi-Fi.
- Tap eduroam.
- Tap settings for eduroam.

- Tap the Auto reconnect switch if necessary.
