The DIT Knowledge Management group offers a collection of knowledge articles and training resources on some of the latest DIT-supported services and software. The resources found on this page are designed with learners in mind and will help UMD faculty and staff get the most out of their office technology.

New faculty/staff technology orientation

ServiceNow orientation (DIT staff only)

Start your DIT training journey by learning the division's incident management system of record, ServiceNow. ServiceNow provides automation for many DIT processes, including incident and ticketing management, and serves as a home for the IT Support Center, the Service Desk (or Help Desk) website, and the division's internal and public knowledge bases.

Knowledge Management (DIT staff only)

DIT staff can contribute their technical knowledge to one of two knowledge bases managed by DIT's Knowledge Management group: the IT Library and the DIT Internal Library. Both knowledge bases employ Knowledge Centered Service (KCS), an approach to knowledge management that allows any DIT staff member to create articles for the knowledge bases.
