DIT Knowledge Bases

What is a knowledge base?

Simply put, a knowledge base is a repository of information. The Division of IT hosts several online, searchable knowledge bases, but Knowledge Management manages two: The DIT Internal Library and the IT Library.

Knowledge Management actively curates these knowledge bases. The department oversees the quality of content, designs workflow and other processes, and responds to customer issues. It works with content owners to ensure a high standard and relevancy of content.

What is the IT Library?

The IT Library is our external, public-facing knowledge base. It houses articles designed for the general university community, and may be used for technical self-service.

What is the DIT Internal Library?

The DIT Internal Library is our internal knowledge base, hosting articles whose audience is DIT staff and representatives.
