Troubleshoot Linking a Word Processing Application (Such as Polaris) to Box Using a Mobile Device

When trying to Sync to Box from an in-app service from a word processing application such as Polaris, the following error message will display invalid login/password. This occurs because applications such as Polaris have their own in-app service, which has a unique internal link that connects the application to Box. 

The university has a relationship with Box where faculty/staff/students are able to use Box. In order to ensure that only University faculty/staff/students are getting the benefits of UMD Box, it is necessary to authenticate users through the Central Authentication Service.

An in app service does not have the ability to authenticate as they have their own unique link to Box. To resolve this issue, follow the steps below:
