There are two ways to subscribe to IT Alerts: By subscribing to the Listserv to receive emails or by opting-in on the UMD App to mobile device notifications. 

Subscribe to all IT notices and alerts via e-mail

If you would like to sign up to receive an e-mail whenever there is an IT Alert, or an update to an IT alert, simply send an e-mail from *your* e-mail address to listserv@listserv.umd.edu with Subscribe ITSC-Alert in the e-mail body. The Listserv will ignore the Subject Line. You will need to reply to a confirmation e-mail to activate your subscription.

Unsubscribe to all IT notices and alerts via e-mail

To stop receiving IT Alerts via e-mail, send an e-mail from *your* e-mail address to listserv@listserv.umd.edu with Unsubscribe ITSC-Alert in the e-mail body.

The Listserv will ignore the Subject Line. You will need to reply to a confirmation e-mail to Deactivate your subscription.

Opt-in to IT Alerts on the UMD App

1. Download the UMD App in Google Play or the App Store. 
2. Tap the Messages icon.
3. Tap Opt-in channels in the grey header bar. 
4. Under the Available opt-in channels section, tap the red plus symbol next to IT Alerts.

After opting-in, IT Alerts will appear in the My opt-in channels section. 

Opt-out of IT Alerts on the UMD App

1. Open the UMD App.
2. Tap the Messages icon.
3. Tap Opt-in channels in the grey header bar. 
4. Under the Available opt-in channels section, tap the red minus symbol next to IT Alerts.

After opting out, IT Alerts will appear in the Available opt-in channels section
