University of Maryland Box organizational accounts are now available for colleges/departments, student groups, and other groups affiliated with the university. Members of a University of Maryland Box organizational account can upload and share files without affecting their individual University of Maryland Box account quotas.
All University of Maryland Box organizational accounts must have two or more owners who are responsible for account administration duties such as allocating folder space and adding/removing members. University of Maryland Box organizational accounts are hosted by Box and managed by University of Maryland's Division of IT. All rights and responsibilities established in the UMD Policy on the Acceptable Use of Information Technology Resources apply to the University of Maryland Box service.
Faculty and staff users of this service should be aware of the UMD Data Classification Standards.
Leaders of student organizations can request a Student Group account through the Adele H. Stamp Student Union Technology Services office.
Student group accounts will be provisioned with 25GB of storage.
Faculty and staff can request an organizational account through the UMD Box in Service Catalog.
