Pop-up notifications
The latest versions of Chrome and Microsoft Edge will display a pop-up notification asking to allow or block access when a website they are on tries to connect to Box installed on their computer.
- If you are prompted with the Look for and connect to any device on your local network pop-up while using Box, click Allow.
- This prompt is used only for authentication.
- Box will not access or read information from other devices on your local network.
- It communicates only with the device where Box Tools are being used.
If you clicked Block or do not see the notification
- Navigate to the browser settings.
- Under Allowed to connect to any device on your local network, click Add and enter:
[*.]box.com [*.]box.net [*.]boxcn.net [*.]boxcdn.net [*.]boxenterprise.net - Refresh your browser and retry the operation.
