Microsoft has announced that support for Windows 10 will officially end on October 14, 2025. After this date, Microsoft will no longer provide security updates, patches, or technical support for any version of Windows 10.

What you need to do

If you are using a university owned laptop that is on Windows 10, contact your department IT and schedule for the device to be upgraded to Windows 11.

For personally owned devices used for university work, you are strongly encouraged to upgrade to Windows 11 before the EOL date to maintain compatibility and data security.
