Create a Webex Teams team

  1. Open Webex Teams, then click the Team Icon.
    Click Team Icon from Cisco Spark 
  2. Click the + (plus sign) to create a new team.
    Click Plus sign to Create New Team 
  3. Name the Team, enter a description (optional), click Create.

  4. Once the Team is created, add members  by clicking Add Team Member.

  5. The person who created the team will automatically appear as the Team Moderator  You can add an additional Team Moderator by clicking Add Team Member.Add additional Moderator to Team 

Archive a team space in Webex Teams

You may have spaces in Webex Teams that no one is using anymore. You can archive those inactive spaces to get rid of the clutter.

When you archive a team space, you're not deleting it. You can't search for files or messages in an archived space, but the space and its contents don't disappear. You can only preview content in an archived team space, but you'll see it under your archived spaces list.

If your Team Space has a moderator, you must be a moderator to perform these steps.

Share your screen during person to person calls in Webex Teams

You can share your screen during all person to person calls using the desktop application. You can do this prior to initiating the call using a space or during the call.

Share your screen before making the call

  1. In Webex Teams, create or navigate to the space containing the person you wish to share your screen with.
  2. Click the Show space activities button.
  3. Click the Share Screen button.

  4. Complete the steps in the options section of this article.

Share your screen during a call

  1. In Webex Teams, click the Call phone icon.
  2. Click Call.
  3. Click the Share screen icon.

Options to set before screen sharing

  1. If you wish to share your computer audio along with your screen check the Share computer audio checkbox.
    Share computer audio checkbox. When you share content you can also share your computer audio with everyone. 
  2. To enable audio sharing from your computer, Webex Teams will install an extension.
    • If any applications are playing audio right now, they may need to be restarted after the installation to resume playing.
  3. If you require a higher quality video stream for a movie clip or animation check the Optimize for video checkbox.
    Optimize for video checkbox. Make your shared movie clips or content with animations play more smoothly. 
  4. Select the screen you wish to share to begin sharing your screen. If you are not in an active call, this step will begin the call.

If you're a team moderator in Webex Teams, you can make other people a team moderator too. Then they'll be able to make the same changes to the team as you, like adding or removing people or changing the team info.

NOTE: Make yourself a moderator before you make someone else a moderator. Otherwise, you will lose your moderation privileges.

Windows, Mac, Web

You can make someone a team moderator who's not on the team yet. Making them the moderator adds them to the team. You must be a moderator to perform these steps.

  1. Open Teams Choose the team.
  2. Select Add Team Moderator.
  3. Enter the person's name. 

iPhone and iPad, Android

Before you begin, you may need to add the person to the team first. You must be a moderator to perform these steps.

  1. Open Teams. Choose the team.
  2. Tap Team Members. Select the person.
  3. Choose Assign as Team Moderator.

If you're a moderator in a space in Webex Teams, you can add others to the space, remove people, edit the space, and assign other moderators. Keep in mind that even if you've created the space, you're not a moderator unless you've locked the space.

NOTE: Make yourself a moderator before you make someone else a moderator. Otherwise, you will lose your moderation privileges.

You must be a moderator to perform these steps:

  1. Open the space.
  2. Go to the Activity menuActivity menu 
  3. Choose People.

  4. Right-click on the person's name and choose Assign as Moderator.

iPhone, iPad, and Android

You must be a moderator to perform these steps:

  1. Open the space.
  2. Go to the Activity Menu Activity menu 
  3. Choose People.

  4. Tap the person's name and choose Assign as Moderator

Web

You must be a moderator to perform these steps:

  1. Open the space.
  2. Go to the Activity Menu Activity menu 
  3. Choose People.
  4. Select More "..." besides the person's name and choose Assign as Moderator.
