DIT-supported software may be subject to sanctions and vendor restrictions in countries outside the US. Others may require connecting to the GlobalProtect VPN to access.

Software restrictions

The IT Impacts of OFAC Sanctions article explains which countries, activities, and software are prohibited for overseas use. Affected software includes:

Adobe Acrobat Sign will block IP addresses of senders, signers, approvers, viewers, administrators, and other supported roles accessing Acrobat Sign via Web, mobile app, or API; integrations from an IP address located in mainland China, will encounter an access denied error, and will be unable to use Acrobat Sign.

Use GlobalProtect VPN

A virtual private network (VPN) provides a secure connection directly to the resources you are trying to access. Similar to a tunnel, it protects your communications from outside threats found across the Internet. You should always use a VPN when using your device off campus.
