If you are already on campus, you will need access to the internet to connect to eduroam. You can run SecureW2 by connecting to the umd-guest wireless network from the list of detected wireless networks. You may also consider using your phone's cellular data to connect that device or set up a personal hotspot to connect on computers and tablets.
If you are starting with these instructions, click this link to begin connecting to campus internet and click the red Sign In button if prompted. Click the Install Now button to download the SecureW2 file. Browsers may have different default setting for downloading and saving files after clicking the Install Now button.
NOTE: Chrome, Firefox, and Edge will automatically download the SecureW2 file in your computer's Downloads folder without asking to select a location.
If you were directed here during the connection process, continue with the instructions below.
Following completion of the SecureW2 joining process, you will be able to connect to the eduroam Wi-Fi network on campus with your Windows device. If you have issues with the SecureW2 process or connecting to the eduroam Wi-Fi network, contact the Service Desk for additional support.
