Issue
I am applying for re-enrollment but my TERPmail is disabled.
Environment
Resolution
The IT Service Desk cannot grant you access to TERPmail. However, you can update the email address in your Student Information System (SIS) record once your TERPmail is disabled.
- Go to Testudo.
- Select Change Address / E-mail.
- Authenticate with your Directory ID and passphrase, if prompted.
- Select Edit in the Contact Information section.
- Update the email address.
Note: If your TERPmail is still active, you will not be able to change your UMD email address. You should use TERPmail for your correspondence with the Student Success Office. - Select Update to save changes.
Cause
The Student Success Office uses the email address in the applicant's Student Information System (SIS) record for re-enrollment correspondence. Students lose access to TERPmail at the end of the term starting one year from their last registered semester (see Overview of Account Terminations for Students (KB0010153) for additional information). When a former student no longer has access to TERPmail, the student can update the email address in their SIS record using Testudo.
