GlobalProtect VPN TLS error on Windows

Issue

After installing Windows Update KB5018410 (Windows 10) or KB5018418 (Windows 11 21H2) or KB5018427 (Windows 11 22H2), I receive a TLS error when I attempt to connect to GlobalProtect VPN.

Environment

GlobalProtect VPN.

Resolution

  1. Determine which system type and Windows version. For example: An x64-based processor with Windows 10 21H1.
  2. Download the appropriate cumulative update for your Windows version and system type. Below are download links for common system types and Windows versions. If your version is not listed, navigate to Microsoft Update Catalog for Windows 10, Microsoft Update Catalog for Windows 11 21H2, and Microsoft Update Catalog for Windows 11 22H2.
  3. Double-click the downloaded MSU file to install the update.
  4. Restart your computer after installation completes.
  5. Connect to GlobalProtect VPN.
