Your Google Calendar Secret Address

You may have received an email from Division of IT about the use third-party apps, like Outlook or Apple Calendar, accessing your Google Calendar using what is called a secret address which lets you view your calendar in these apps.

Follow the steps below to obtain your calendar secret address.

  1. Go to Google Calendar on your computer.
  2. Click the gear icon in the top right and select Settings.
  3. Click the name of the calendar for which you want to create the secret address from the left panel, under Settings for my calendars.
  4. Scroll to the Integrate calendar section and copy the link under Secret address in iCal format.
NOTE: If the Secret address in iCal format is missing in your calendar settings it will be because your G Suite Admin needs to enable this option (it is, by default, disabled).
  5. Paste the link as directed by your other calendar application (for example, Outlook or Apple Calendar).

If you have any questions, contact the Service Desk.
