Windows 11 is Microsoft's latest Operating System. All Division of IT (DIT) issued Windows devices must be enrolled into Microsoft Intune. Intune is an endpoint management tool used to provide software distribution, system configuration and security.
All windows devices issued by DIT must run Windows 11 Enterprise versions listed as supported below. If your DIT-issued Windows device does not have a supported operating system, you will be targeted to upgrade or re-image your Windows device to DIT Desktop Support standards.

Windows 11 Enterprise 24H2 | October 12, 2027 | Supported |
Windows 11 Enterprise 23H2 | November 10, 2026 | Supported |

All DIT-issued Apple devices must be joined to our university domain and enrolled to Just Another Management Framework (JAMF). JAMF is an Apple device management platform. It provides inventory, software distribution, operating system imaging, settings and security management. JAMF allows DIT to proactively manage equipment life-cycles, efficiently deploy software and policies in a consistent manner, and provide data for troubleshooting computer issues.
All Apple devices issued by DIT must run one of the following supported operating systems listed below. If your DIT issued Apple device does not have a supported operating system, you will be targeted to upgrade or re-image your Apple device to DIT Desktop Support standards.
MacOS | Version | Version number | Support status |
---|---|---|---|
Sequoia | 15 | 15.3.2 |

Sonoma | 14 | 14.7.4 |
Supported |
Ventura | 13 | 13.7.4 |

This is done on a rolling basis. Apple ends support of Ventura (OS 13) in late 2025, while Microsoft ends support of Windows 10 ends October 14, 2025.
DIT will no longer support OS out of compliance and the device will no longer receive security updates.
