Students and faculty members may access ELMS-Canvas using their mobile devices on both iOS and Android through either their device’s browser or the Student or Instructor Canvas App, which can be found in both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.

The following mobile browsers are compatible with Canvas.

NOTE: For both mobile and desktop systems, ELMS-Canvas only offers support for the two most recent major releases of any browser. All users are encouraged to keep their mobile OS, their mobile browser, and their Instructure Canvas App up to date with the latest available version.

Also be aware, when using the Instructure Canvas app to view a Quiz, that there are certain circumstances which may cause the quiz to be rendered in your device’s browser rather than by the app. Therefore, even if your Canvas app is up to date, there may still be issues viewing Canvas content if your device has an outdated mobile browser. These circumstances include quizzes where:

• The one-question-at-a-time format is used
• Access codes are used
• IP address restrictions are in place
• Fill-in-multiple blanks question types are used
• Formula Questions are used
