CICS Availability (Customer Information Control System) -

The Customer Information Control System (CICS) is used by many University applications for online transactions that reside on the mainframe. The menu item, College Park - Online Navigation Environment (CP-One), provides application navigation. The chart below shows application availability but please note the following:

One time or emergency changes in online service will not be reflected in this chart.
Sundays between 07:00 and 17:00 is the mainframe maintenance window (used to apply fixes and upgrades for software and hardware). At times, it does become necessary to extend past their normal time.
Extended service for Application Owners
If extended CICS service is needed, the application owner (ex: Office of Registrar) can email itsc-prod-control@umd.edu with the date and time needed. After receiving the ServiceNow request, Production Control will coordinate your request with the platform group. Advanced notice must be given.
