Requirements for using MECM

This service is intended for use by departmental IT staff for managing University-owned devices. Personal devices are not eligible for this service.

  1. Departmental IT admins will need administrative access to Active Directory. To request administrative access, see the Active Directory service page.
  2. Computers must be members of AD.UMD.EDU in order to be managed by MECM.
  3. Send a message to winmac-request@umd.edu to inquire about joining the campus Active Directory and enrolling your department's Windows devices in MECM and a member of our team will contact you.
