Access TerpConnect with the Secure Shell Gateway

The Secure Shell (SSH) gateway allows you to make a SSH connection through the World Wide Web. This means that you do not have to install an SSH client program to make a terminal connection to TerpConnect with the Download and Configure a Secure Shell (SSH) Client.

NOTE: the SSH Gateway requires a TerpConnect login.

This service works from any machine using a web browser that can run Java Applets.  It provides the same level of data security as a regular SSH client program.

The SSH gateway uses Java applet technology to provide the secure connection. Some operating systems do not have Java installed by default.

Visit the Java website for information on using Java with Microsoft Windows systems. For other operating systems, visit the Oracle website.

NOTE: You may use the Java Virtual Machine to access the SSH Gateway.
