Connect to eduroam

Already on campus?

If you are already on campus, you will need access to the internet to connect to eduroam. You can run SecureW2 by connecting to the umd-guest wireless network from the list of detected wireless networks. You may also consider using your phone's cellular data to connect that device or set up a personal hotspot to connect on computers and tablets.

Run the network access tool on your device

To securely connect to eduroam and the wired network, students, faculty, and staff should run SecureW2 on the devices you are connecting. SecureW2 should be launched before connecting a device for the first time, after a Directory ID passphrase update, or a new security certificate. It's recommended to launch SecureW2 prior to coming on campus. Especially for devices such as laptops that typically don't have cellular network access.
